On-grid, hybrid or off-grid?
- On-grid plants switch off when the grid fails. This is a safety requirement (anti-islanding), not a fault.
- Hybrid plants add a lithium battery and a hybrid inverter so selected circuits keep running in an outage.
- Off-grid plants run entirely from solar and batteries, for sites without a reliable line.
Running a diesel generator? When a DG set and a solar plant run together, a DG synchronisation controller
holds solar output below the generator’s safe minimum load so it is never back-fed. We specify one wherever a DG is on site.
Batteries are bought for backup, not for savings. Judge a hybrid system on the hours of uptime it gives you.
DCR or Non-DCR modules?
Every Waaree module comes in two versions. The difference is where the solar cell was made.
DCR · Domestic Content Requirement
Indian-made cells and modules. Required for the PM Surya Ghar subsidy and government schemes.
Non-DCR
Imported cells, assembled into Waaree modules. Typically N-Type TOPCon with more watts per square foot.
- DCR is a sourcing rule, not a quality grade.
- Homes up to about 7 kW usually do better with DCR plus the subsidy; larger homes often do better with Non-DCR. We show both.
- Businesses get no subsidy, so Non-DCR is the usual choice.
- DCR and Non-DCR cannot be mixed in one subsidised system.
The parts that decide whether a plant lasts

| Cables | Solar-grade DC cable rated for decades of sun, and AC cable sized so losses stay low. |
| Structure | Hot-dip galvanised steel, designed for the roof and wind load: mono rail, short rail or elevated. |
| Walkways | Safe access for cleaning and maintenance on large roofs without stepping on modules. |
