Do you qualify?
Almost every homeowner does. There are four conditions, and only one of them catches people out.
- A domestic (residential) electricity connection in your name
- Your own roof, or written permission to use it
- DCR modules — Indian-made cells and modules. Non-DCR panels are not eligible.
- Installed by a vendor registered on the National Portal for your DISCOM
The DCR trap
Non-DCR modules cost less per watt, and some sellers quote them to a homeowner without saying so. If they go on your roof, the subsidy claim is rejected — after the plant is built.
Every Solarverse home proposal names the exact Waaree DCR module model in writing, so you can check it before you pay anything.
Six steps — all handled by Solarverse
You sign the forms. We do the rest.
Portal registration
We register your consumer number on the PM Surya Ghar National Portal.
SolarverseApplication & vendor selection
We file the rooftop application and the vendor and technical documents.
SolarverseDISCOM feasibility
We follow the feasibility approval through WBSEDCL (or your DISCOM).
SolarverseInstallation
Waaree DCR modules, inverter, earthing and protection, installed and tested.
SolarverseNet meter & inspection
The DISCOM installs the net meter and inspects the plant; we coordinate both.
SolarverseSubsidy credited
We submit the commissioning documents and bank details; the assistance is paid to your account.
Government
Before you ask
Is the subsidy deducted from the price?
No. The quoted price is the full price. The central financial assistance is paid by the Government directly into your bank account after the plant is commissioned and the net meter is installed.
Can I claim the subsidy on a larger system?
Yes — you can install more than 3 kW, but the assistance is capped at the 3 kW level. Above roughly 7 kW, a Non-DCR system often works out better than DCR plus subsidy. We show you both options side by side.
What if my connection is not in my name?
The electricity connection should be in the applicant’s name. If it is in a parent’s or a previous owner’s name, we will tell you what the DISCOM needs before anything is ordered.
I live in Bihar or Sikkim. Does this apply?
Yes. PM Surya Ghar is a national scheme. Some states add their own top-up; we check the current position for your state when we file.
